>GTFE: Foundations of the Ganainy Temporal Field Equation
This work introduces a minimal field-theoretic framework in which time is modeled as a dynamical physical quantity rather than a fixed external parameter. A scalar temporal field is formulated whose excitations exhibit inertia, finite propagation speed, and dissipation. Starting from a conservative temporal Lagrangian density and incorporating a Rayleigh-type dissipation functional, we derive a driven wave equation governing temporal dynamics, referred to as the Ganainy Temporal Field Equation (GTFE).The formulation establishes an additional dynamical degree of freedom associated with temporal structure, while remaining compatible with standard relativistic and electromagnetic limits in the absence of temporal perturbations. The analysis focuses on the internal consistency, dimensional structure, and causal properties of the resulting field equation, without altering the classical electromagnetic sector. At the theoretical level, the GTFE admits controlled corrections to phase and group delay in regimes where ultrafast temporal response becomes relevant, such as epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) materials and attosecond-scale platforms. These effects arise from the presence of the temporal field itself rather than from modifications of Maxwell’s equations. The present manuscript is intentionally foundational in scope. It establishes the core dynamical framework and physical interpretation of the temporal field, while deferring nonlinear classification, experimental fitting, geometric extensions, and possible quantized modes to subsequent work. Version 3 is released as a stable reference preprint, intended for independent scrutiny, citation, and systematic extension within a staged research program.
