Emergent Neutrino Mass and Oscillations from Velocity-Dependent Conformal Lorentz Transformations
The origin of neutrino mass remains one of the central open problems in the Standard Model of particle physics. Conventional approaches introduce new fermionic degrees of freedom or lepton- number–violating mass terms, none of which have been experimentally confirmed. In this work, we develop a geometrical alternative based on a velocity-dependent conformal Lorentz transforma- tion. Spacetime intervals undergo conformal rescaling governed by kinematic invariants and vacuum polarization effects. We demonstrate that neutrinos may remain fundamentally massless while ac- quiring small effective masses through conformal deformation of proper time and dispersion relations. Neutrino oscillations arise as geometrical phase differences induced by conformal time contraction rather than intrinsic mass eigenstates. The framework avoids Majorana neutrinos, preserves lepton number, and yields testable deviations in neutrino propagation.
