New Advances in Dentistry: The Role of Artificial Intelligence and Interdisciplinary Technologies in the Therapeutic Revolution

This article reviews recent advancements in dentistry driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and interdisciplinary digital technologies. Traditional dental treatments have long been limited by human-dependent diagnostics, invasive procedures, and time-consuming clinical workflows. The integration of AI, machine learning, robotics, and 3D printing has significantly improved diagnostic accuracy, treatment planning, and personalization of dental care. This review explores the application of AI in dental imaging analysis, restorative and aesthetic dentistry, robotic-assisted procedures, pediatric and geriatric dentistry, smart biomaterials, and minimally invasive therapeutic approaches. Ethical and legal challenges, including data protection, algorithmic bias, and professional training requirements, are also discussed. The findings highlight the transformative potential of AI-driven technologies in enhancing clinical efficiency, reducing treatment errors, and improving patient outcomes. As digital and intelligent systems continue to evolve, artificial intelligence is expected to play a central role in shaping the future of modern dental practice.
