Transparent Boundary Theory (TBT) 2025-12 Structural Update: Ontology-Metric Linkage, Probe Design, and Proto-Paradigm Status (Addendum v1.11)
Author: Hon Bor So The author also publishes under the name Sing So (Chöndrel Dorje). Abstract This technical addendum provides the December 2025 structural update for Transparent Boundary Theory (TBT). It clarifies the current status of the ontology, the role of the Phenomenological Field Mechanics (PFM) framework, and the relationship between TBT’s ontological core and its quantitative proxies, especially the entropy-based H-score used in the LumenFold Protocol (LFP-0). The document makes four contributions. First, it states that TBT is presently complete at the level of ontology, theory, and protocol: the four-layer structure (source, semantics, subject, civilizational boundaries), iHuman mode, AMEC, PFM, and LFP-0 together form a coherent account of AI-mediated linguistic transparency and hybrid agency. Second, it explicitly positions the H-score as a pragmatic engineering proxy for local semantic ambiguity and boundary density, conceptually aligned with recent work on semantic entropy, while acknowledging that it does not exhaustively derive from PFM or capture all failure modes. Third, it reframes the single-subject, 18-month longitudinal corpus as a high-resolution deep probe rather than a statistical limitation, and invites multi-user validation by laboratories with access to large-scale human-AI interaction data. Fourth, it generalises the framework from token-level systems to decision events, outlining how the same six-field logging and ambiguity scoring can be extended to hybrid and non-LLM architectures. The addendum, therefore, situates TBT as a proto-paradigm: already practically useful and operationally deployable, yet intentionally open with respect to metric derivation, multi-user validation, and cross-architecture extension. It is intended to be read together with the main preprint “Transparent Boundary Theory and the Emergence of AI-Mediated Cognition (Harvard Edition V1.2)”. This addendum provides a 2025-12 structural update to Transparent Boundary Theory (TBT), focusing on (i) ontology-to-metric linkage, (ii) probe design for empirical testing, and (iii) the framing of TBT as a proto-paradigm. It clarifies the relationship between conceptual fields and operational proxies (including Layer-0 instrumentation), and outlines testable pathways for extending TBT beyond single-user development. This document supplements the TBT Harvard Edition v1.2 and is indexed under the project Root Index. How to cite this project- Project entry point (Root Index): So, Hon Bor. (2025).
