Alternative approach to determine a value of waste materials using the multi-criteria decision-making

The most common sort of solid waste in landfills around is waste from construction operations, leading to an adverse influence on the environment. Since consequence, waste management in the building sector requires a comprehensive strategy that includes the life cycles of both materials and buildings. Through implementing construction waste management into implementation, the building sector can visibly reduce waste and, in addition, related expenses. The Weighted Product Model (WPM) approach, a variation of Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM), will be utilised in this study in order to resolve the issue of excess materials in the process of construction. With a V vector value of 0.360776, steel rebar is the material that ranks highest. Concrete (0.314074) and fill dirt (0.34054) come next. This approach has been shown to be generally successful in estimating the quantity of waste material on a project, assisting stakeholders determine what needs to be done. Furthermore, a few recommendations for the waste materials' future actions have been established in this study based on the analysis of the results
