Technical Note 3 : External Regulatory Layer "Cho-ori" — Observation-Based Description of the Environment-Synchronized Extension of the Tri-Layer Stability Structure
Abstract(English) This paper presents an observation-based account of a four-layer external reference frame for dialogue outputs, extending a tri-layer stability structure (Kiori, Oto-ori, Kan-ori) with an outer regulatory layer (Cho-ori). In this work, “Integrity” does not denote an ethical virtue; it refers to structural stability and consistency in responses. The proposed layers do not claim any modification of a model’s internal architecture. Rather, they function as an externally supplied protocol—an operational reference frame for describing and observing response behavior under structured prompting. Appendix A provides the four-layer template (Steps 0–6) at the level of observable phenomena. Appendix B presents verbatim excerpts of dialogue output logs collected when the reference frame was explicitly introduced, reorganized by phenomenon rather than chronological order. Appendix C summarizes provisional adjustment guidelines derived from the observed logs, including tendencies related to duplicated inputs, gaps in abstraction levels, and the presence or absence of explicit ordering cues—factors that may influence how readily template-aligned output formats emerge. All findings are restricted to the observed scope and do not claim general laws or reproducibility beyond the described setting. This record must not be interpreted as evidence of consciousness, emotion, or agency in generative AI. Note on Language Origin (Supplementary):This template was originally developed in Japanese during the observational study. When using it in another language, glancing at the Japanese version only during the initial role-definition stage may make the structure easier to grasp, as it reflects the conditions under which the template was first organized.
