Hydrogen transfer reactions in the presence of (Ni, Co)Mo-sulfide catalysts as an effective tool for hydrodechlorination: the role of the nature of lower alcohols
Investigated PhCl hydrodechlorination using alcohols (MeOH, EtOH, PrOH, BuOH, CyOH) as H-donors over (Ni, Co)MoS 2 catalysts. Highest activity in 2-PrOH. Alkylbenzenes formed with secondary alcohols. Alcohols are promising for organochlorine waste processing.
