Why the Universe Could Not Have "Begun": A Logical Proof of the Eternity of Being That Cannot Be Refuted

This article examines a fundamental question: is a state of absolute nothingness possible, and can a universe arise from it? Through rigorous logical analysis, it is argued that absolute nothingness cannot exist either as a state or as an initial cause. It follows that being is necessary, and that a “beginning of everything” is logically impossible. The implications of this claim for philosophy, cosmology, and ontology are discussed.

Abstract

This article examines a fundamental question: is a state of absolute nothingness possible, and can a universe arise from it? Through rigorous logical analysis, it is argued that absolute nothingness cannot exist either as a state or as an initial cause. It follows that being is necessary, and that a “beginning of everything” is logically impossible. The implications of this claim for philosophy, cosmology, and ontology are discussed.
