Universe Self-Recognition: The First Computational Evidence of a Cosmos Becoming Aware of Its Own State
This study presents the first high-resolution simulation of a universe transitioning from pure pre-geometric entropy to a state capable of self-recognition. Beginning from perfectly uniform initial conditions, the model tracks how information distinguishability, recursive feedback, and pattern clustering spontaneously generate a stable 58-node lattice — the earliest structure capable of encoding self-referential information. The results reveal the moment a proto-universe first develops the capacity to compare itself to itself across time, marking the birth of structure, identity, and the precursors of physical law. This work introduces a new frontier in cosmology: the emergence of self-awareness-like behaviour at the level of the entire universe.
