Stunting and malnutrition in Rwanda: a brief literature review
This literature review synthesises scientific and grey literature to examine the prevalence, determinants, and policy responses to stunting and malnutrition in Rwanda. Despite marked economic growth and developmental strides, Rwanda faces persistent undernutrition challenges. The review explores dietary patterns, regional disparities, agricultural influences, and the evolving nutritional transition. A special focus is placed on evaluating the effectiveness of national interventions, policy coherence, and nutrition-sensitive agriculture. The paper concludes with strategic recommendations for improved policy integration and areas for future research.
