The sequencing of 16s rRNA and IL-10 genes of Helicobacter pylori infection among Iraqi patients
In this study, 90 venous blood specimens were obtained from 50 persons infected with Helicobacter pylori and 40 healthy individuals as a control group. The samples were taken from the patients who visited Baghdad Teaching Hospital, starting from 1st April 2024 to 1st March 2025. It was found that the mean H. pylori IgM levels were (1.90±0.15) compared to the control group (0.04±0.02), a highly important variation. Furthermore, the mean H. pylori IgG levels were (2.14±0.7) compared to the control group (0.03±0.02), a highly important variation. The results showed that the mean IL-10 levels were (10.52±0.9) when compared to those of healthy persons (4.03±0.87), a highly important variation. Moreover, the range of IL-12 in the patient group was (18.76±5.43) compared to the control group (4.07± 0.98) with a highly significant variation (P≤0.001). There were important correlations between H pylori IgM (r=1) with (P=0.05), and there was an important correlation of H. pylori IgG (r.605**) and IL-10 range (r=-.688**) with the level of IL-12 (r=.553**) with (P=.000). Also, the study revealed that the sequence of 16sRNA gene underwent transition in locations 197 (T\C) and 210 (G\A), 216 (C\T) and 232 (C\T) respectively, while there was transversion in locations 202 (A\T), 205 (A\T), 225 (T\A) and 230 (C\T) respectively. Furthermore, there were variations of AA to CA in 1,4,9, and 10 samples, and there were variations of AA to CA in 2,3,6, and 8 samples, respectively.
