Research on Air Distribution in Restricted Space Based on Multi-perturbation Jet Flow

The reasonable arrangement of cabin ventilation system is related to the control of temperature and humidity in the cabin. In order to improve the air distribution in the form of traditional cabin duct air supply, the CFD simulation analysis method is used to numerically calculate the air distribution of a cabin with jet nozzles air supply and fan coils air supply. In a cabin with cargo stowage, the air supply units consist of 2 nozzles and 10 symmetrically distributed fan coils. This paper compares the temperature and flow field distributions at nozzle offset angles of 0°, 5°, 10° and 15°, respectively, and the temperature and flow field distributions at nozzle air supply angles of 0°, 3°, 5° and 7°, respectively. The optimal airflow organization was obtained when the nozzle offset angle and air delivery angle were both 5°, and then the velocity of many planes under this air distribution was the largest and the temperature was the lowest. The air distribution of this ventilation system was compared with that of the traditional ducted air supply, and it was found that this ventilation system can save the height space in the cabin as well as improve the problems of short-circuiting and dead space of indoor ventilation. The research in this paper can provide a reference for the ventilation design and indoor environmental control of cabins in restricted spaces.
