Interprofessionele Spirituele Zorg daagt spiritueel zorgverleners uit in hun leiderschaps- en samenwerkingsrollen in zorgteams
Interprofessional Spiritual Care (ISC) has emerged as the evidence-based model for providing spiritual care in health care, wherein interdisciplinary care team members provide generalist spiritual care and collaborate with spiritual care specialists such as chaplains. While current efforts aim to increase the adoption of ISC and spiritual care generalist capabilities, considerably less attention has been given to the spiritual care specialist's point of view. Moreover, ISC challenges the prevailing paradigms of spiritual care provision by the individual chaplain expert by shifting toward a shared, dynamic, and collaborative team approach and by sharing the responsibility for spiritual care along the care continuum. The doctoral project utilizes qualitative and quantitative methods to explore what collaborative and leadership roles spiritual care specialists play in the interprofessional practice and integration of spiritual care.
