Empowering Students with AI: UDL Strategies for Creativity and Critical Thinking

Join this session to discuss integrating AI into learning by offering choices that foster curiosity, presenting content flexibly, and providing diverse options for demonstrating learning and creativity. I will show how Universal Design for Learning-based strategies were implemented in a digital media production class to empower students to explore AI tools for learning, creativity, and critical thinking. Encouraged to learn with AI, create with AI, and understand AI, students showcased their creativity and technical proficiency. They also reflected on the challenges and limitations of AI, considering how ethical issues influenced their approach to media production and educational practices.
