De ervaring van de schepper als fundament van het bestaan. Een theologie van de scheppingservaring in dialoog met Gregorius Palamas (1296-1357) als alternatief voor het Braziliaanse creationisme.
Theology of creation is neither limited by a beginning in time nor is dependent on natural phenomena. Rather, it has a narrative and theological meaning for human creatures right here and now. Based on Gregory Palamas’ (1296-1357/1359) Orthodox theology of creation, and the concept of energeia in it, as well as David Bentley Hart’s theology about the experience and aesthetic of creation and of God, this doctoral research proposes the experience of God as a theology of creation in a relational, experiential and existential perspective, as a significant and alternative way to overcome creationism, scientism, and even Christomonism; as a way to construct a relevant and spiritual theology of creation grounded in the relationship between Creator and creature, a view of the creation subject that is meaningful for the contemporary debate, especially in the Brazilian context.
