Experience Limit Theory and the Tensorial Emergence of Exterior Reality: A Mathematical Extension of the Cartesian Cogito
Classical epistemology provides no mechanism by which the cer- tainty of experience, even if granted as indubitable, can generate the appearance of an independent external world. Anti-foundationalism attempts to avoid this problem but relies on an unproven assump- tion: that such a world exists outside experience and merely cannot be known with certainty. This paper develops a formal resolution by introducing a tensorial model of experience and a G¨odel-theoretic limit process that produces externality as an emergent, asymptotic structure. We represent experience as a complex tensor field T (t) = E(t) + iI(t) and define its dynamics through the Tenson generating operator DT. The long-time behavior of experiential evolution is captured by the asymptotic divergence operator ∇∞, which measures the rate at which tensorial structures fail to be closed under their own dynamics. We prove a G¨odel–Tenson incompleteness theorem: no experiential Lagrangian LT can have vanishing asymptotic divergence. This gen- erates a positive invariant ε∞, the G¨odel residue, which encodes the irreducible limit of self-sufficiency of experience. The central result is the Tenson Limit Equation, ∇∞ ·LT = ε∞, which characterizes externality as the unavoidable asymptotic residue of experiential evolution. This framework unifies and generalizes key insights of Descartes, Berkeley, and Husserl while resolving the struc- tural gap that classical epistemology cannot bridge. The Tenson Limit Equation thus functions not as a metaphysical assumption but as a mathematical condition that any nontrivial experiential system must satisfy. The theory provides a new foundation for epistemology, phenomenol- ogy, information dynamics, and the study of consciousness. It also prepares the ground for further developments, including the quanti- zation of Tenson dynamics, the construction of the Tenson generating functional, and the analysis of spectral and thermodynamic properties of composite Tenson fields.
