Introducing ProVe for Wikidata:Automatic Verification of References

This paper describes key aspects of ProVe - a Wikidata widget and accompanying Web API for automatic verification of references of Wikidata items. ProVe can be integrated in the regular workflow of Wikidata editors to help identify statements about items that need attention with respect to the quality of their references. ProVe automatically verbalises each statement (triple) about an item and analyses the (external) referenced documents to provide an indicative level of the quality of the item's references.
