Moving Conditions is based on Sofia Caesar's experience of a chronic condition, and in dance practices and somatic therapies. It is by recognizing the body's limits that these constraints can be transformed into potency. Her research asks what can be done with the movements and moods that condition us. It has resulted in a book manuscript: "Dancing with Constraints, A Dance Manual in Dialogue Form"; and four exhibitions: "Canseira (Lassitude)," "Superaquecidas (Overheated)", "Caûma," and, finally, "Stuck, Exhausted, Overheated, Misdiagnosed and Horny", to be shown at Terrarium in LUCA School of Arts in October 2024.
