Bioactief membraansysteem voor efficiënte behandeling van opkomende verontreinigingen
Membrane bioactive reactors have recently been identified as a novel remediation technology that may have potential advantages over conventional degradation techniques. This research aims to develop a novel method of enzyme immobilization on MOF composite nanofibrous membranes and apply it to the removal of organic contaminants from wastewater. Different aspects concerning the advantages of membrane bioreactors for pharmaceutical removal will be utilized, as well as models which will consider the mass transfer and physicochemical parameters to optimize enzymatic membrane reactors. Moreover, the use of structured nanomaterials as a carrier for enzyme immobilization will provide high surface area, modified pore size distribution, and adjustable pore shape. The findings could open new possibilities for using fibrous membrane immobilized enzymes in environmental protection.
