Effectiveness of e-mental health interventions for the prevention of mental health problems in the workplace
[eng] INTRODUCTION: Mental health in the workplace is a critical area that affects both employees and the productivity of companies. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated mental health issues among workers, highlighting the need for effective interventions. Digital mental health (e-mental health) interventions have been proposed as a potential solution, but their effectiveness and the factors that affect it need to be evaluated. HYPOTHESIS; From a general point of view, we hypothesize that digital mental health interventions in the workplace are effective for the prevention and reduction of mental health problems, with several factors influencing their effectiveness. Specifically, we expect that factors such as job insecurity, stress levels, and the design of intervention components will play crucial roles in determining the success of these interventions. To this end, we also hypothesize that COVID-19 will have had an impact on workers, thus affecting their mental health and increasing the need for measures to counteract this impact. OBJECTIVES: The overall objective of this thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of electronic mental health interventions in the workplace for the prevention and reduction of mental health problems, to identify the factors that contribute to their effectiveness, and to determine subgroups of populations that would most likely benefit from such interventions.
