First Interior Reconstruction of OGLE-2016-BLG-1928: A Cold, Earth-Mass Rogue Planet Revealed Through Emergent-Physics Simulation
OGLE-2016-BLG-1928 is the shortest microlensing event ever recorded—just 41 minutes—and is believed to be one of the smallest free-floating planets ever detected.Until now, virtually nothing was known about its composition, structure, or internal behavior. This study presents the first full interior reconstruction of OGLE-2016-BLG-1928 using an emergent global-systems simulation framework. The model integrates microlensing constraints, mass–radius uncertainty ranges, phase-change mapping, self-gravity, and deep-interior coherence dynamics. Results identify a high-stability terrestrial body with: A differentiated interior A compressed high-pressure core Multi-layered mantle transitions A frozen volatile crust Zero topology variance (fully converged structure) This work provides the most detailed theoretical model ever produced for this mysterious rogue planet—one that disappeared as quickly as it was found.
