Introduction to Agrivoltaics
This lecture provides an introduction to Agrivoltaics (AgriPV), highlighting its role in supporting climate neutrality objectives. General options for Photovoltaic (PV) installations are reviewed and the characteristics of various ground-mounted systems are explained. A core focus is defining which systems qualify as AgriPV based on their function and design. The lecture specifically examines different AgriPV configurations and discusses their distinct advantages for co-locating energy and food production. Additionally the AgriPVplus approach is introduced utilising the unique demonstrator located at the Hochschule Anhalt (HSA) Bernburg campus.
