Extended Random-Phase Approximation with modern NN+NNN interactions
An ab initio investigation of bulk and spectroscopic properties of finite closed (sub)shell nuclei has been performed within the so-called renor-malized random-phase approximation (RRPA). Such an approach accounts explicitly for the ground-state correlations and removes thereby instabilities and inconsistencies induced by the quasiboson approximation (QBA) underlying RPA, especially pronounced by modern realistic potentials. An overall satisfactory agreement with the experimental data is achieved for all scrutinized observables.
