D3.1 6G technology sustainability inventory and gap analysis
This deliverable presents a first qualitative sustainability assessment (i.e. likely impacts identification) of a set of relevant technologies, also denoted as technology enablers or Research and Innovation (R&I) topics in the following, which have the potential to guarantee the sustainability of the future 6G communication networks from an environmental, social and economic point of view. The selected technology enablers cover all the network segments (i.e., User devices, RAN, Edge, Transport, Core, Cloud). The sustainability is assessed via the likely impacts f the proposed technology enablers for relevant environmental, social and economic first-order effects, such as energy consumption, GHG emissions, resource usage, social inclusion, and cost efficiency.
