Heuristic analysis of the mobile banking interface in Indonesia’s leading private bank

This study investigates elderly usability of mobile banking owned by Indonesia’s largest private bank using heuristic evaluation. A survey of 36 respondents aged 55+ in Jakarta was conducted and analyzed with validity, reliability, and t-tests. Results show that efficiency (t=4.228, p<0.001), error prevention (t=3.388, p=0.002), and feedback significantly improve usability and satisfaction, while learnability had limited effect. These findings highlight the importance of elderly-friendly design features such as clear error messages, undo/redo options, and intuitive navigation. The study contributes to digital banking system design in Indonesia by providing empirical evidence on elderly usability.
