Exploratory Human–AI Collaboration on an Ontological Wave Model for Mass, Gravity, and Light
This preprint presents a speculative ontological wave model developed through structured collaboration between a human researcher and a generative artificial intelligence system. The model assumes that all physical phenomena—mass, gravity, and light—emerge from wave dynamics in an underlying ether-like substrate. A unified Lagrangian is proposed involving three fields: a complex matter wave, a gravitational ether field, and a light-like excitation. The resulting field equations resemble a Schrödinger–Poisson system for matter–gravity coupling and a modified propagation equation for light that reproduces weak-field gravitational lensing. Self-gravitating solitonic solutions arise naturally and are interpreted as mass, while the model also predicts intrinsic gravitationally induced decoherence for sufficiently massive quantum systems. Additional sections explore the possibility of emergent time, philosophical implications of a wave-only ontology, and methodological insights on human–AI co-creation in theoretical physics. This work is conceptual and methodological in nature and does not claim empirical superiority over established physical theories.
