Radial Acceleration Structure in Disk and Early-Type Galaxies: A Combined Membrane–Halo and Schwarzschild Analysis

This study presents a unified empirical dynamical analysis combining rotation-curve based Membrane–Halo models for 191 late-type galaxies with Schwarzschild-based acceleration reconstructions for 260 ATLAS3D early-type galaxies. Using a homogeneous radial pipeline, we extract at the outermost measured radius the baryonic acceleration, observed acceleration, dark-matter contribution, dark-matter fraction, and the empirical acceleration ratio. We identify a continuous dynamical sequence linking rotation-supported disks and dispersion-supported ellipticals. A joint regression yields a nearly universal relation between observed and baryonic acceleration. A tight correlation between halo mass and baryonic mass also holds across both samples. The combined behaviour indicates a common underlying dynamical scaling shared by disk-dominated and dispersion-dominated galaxies, consistent with the scale-free interpretation discussed in Paper 1.
