Design and Construction of Lightweight Fly Ash Geopolymer Brick

Research paper explores the design and construction of lightweight fly ash geopolymer bricks as a sustainable alternative to conventional clay bricks. Utilizing industrial by-products such as fly ash, combined with alkaline activators, geopolymer bricks offer significant advantages in terms of strength, durability, and environmental impact. This study investigates the physical and mechanical properties of fly ash-based geopolymer bricks, evaluates the influence of different mix designs and curing methods, and proposes an optimal method for production. The experimental results show that these bricks exhibit excellent compressive strength, low water absorption, and enhanced thermal insulation, making them suitable for modern construction applications.
