The Role Of Open Educational Resources (Oer) In Nep 2020

Abstract In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Open Educational Resources (OER) have a significant impact on the Indian educational system. OER is made up of freely licensed, free educational resources that support affordability, accessibility, and inclusion. Through platforms like DIKSHA, SWAYAM, and NROER, this study investigates the value of open educational resources (OER) in democratizing education, lowering financial obstacles, and promoting digital learning. The study looks at how OER helps blended learning approaches, teacher training, and multilingual education. Despite its advantages, its full potential is hampered by issues including the digital divide, quality control, ignorance, and language obstacles. Enhancing government policies, boosting regional language content, building institutional coordination, and strengthening digital infrastructure are some of the strategic recommendations. OER can make a substantial contribution to the development of an inclusive, technologically advanced, and reasonably priced educational system in India by tackling these issues. The study comes to the conclusion that NEP 2020's goal of universal access to high-quality, egalitarian education may be realized with the support of a robust legislative framework, investments in digital infrastructure, and raised awareness.
