Anaesthetic Management of a 3-month-old Child with a Difficult Airway in Cystic Hygroma
Abstract Cystic hygroma is a benign cystic tumour of lymph sacs containing fluid-filled lymph. Anaesthetic management in a child with cystic hygroma can pose a significant difficult airway situation, and its management creates challenges for the anaesthesiologist. We present a child 3 months of age with a very large cystic swelling on the left side of the neck, with difficulty in feeding who was scheduled for cyst excision.
