Qualia-Exclusive Simulation Thesis (QEST): A Theory of Everything Integrating Consciousness and Physics
The Qualia-Exclusive Simulation Thesis (QEST) is a unified theoretical framework proposing that physical reality is rendered dynamically from an underlying Probability Grid (PG) in response to conscious observation. The theory introduces a measurable consciousness parameter Φ, which directly modulates wavefunction collapse and determines when unobserved regions of spacetime become fully rendered. QEST integrates quantum mechanics, general relativity, and computational principles into a single, testable Theory of Everything. It predicts (1) measurable render-latency when observing a region for the first time, (2) a spectral rendering hierarchy where low-energy photons are rendered earlier than high-energy photons when viewing distant objects, and (3) a graded collapse effect where the wavefunction collapses with different strengths depending on the observer’s level of consciousness (e.g., Worm → Cockroach → Human). This updated version also formalizes the role of the Golden Ratio (φ) as the optimal rendering constant that minimizes computational cost and stabilizes PG-to-reality transitions. The universality of φ in biological and physical systems is interpreted as evidence of the rendering engine’s computational optimization. QEST is fully falsifiable and provides three independent experiments capable of confirming or refuting its core claims. This document presents the mathematical structure, theoretical foundations, and experimental predictions of QEST in a coherent and publication-ready format.
