Improving Dental Practice Efficiency Using MBA-Based Operational Models: A Comprehensive Analysis of Workflow, Productivity, and Clinical Optimization
This manuscript presents a comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis demonstrating how MBA-based operational and healthcare management models can significantly improve efficiency, workflow performance, and productivity in modern dental practices. Integrating clinical dentistry with evidence-based management science, the article examines the impact of Lean Six Sigma, workflow mapping, time–motion analysis, KPI dashboards, digital transformation, revenue cycle optimization, leadership frameworks, and patient-centered service design on dental practice operations. The findings show that structured management approaches lead to measurable improvements in appointment flow, chair utilization, patient satisfaction, cost control, staffing efficiency, and overall financial sustainability. By combining operational analytics with clinical practice realities, the manuscript provides a practical and scientifically grounded framework for optimizing dental practice performance. This work contributes valuable insights for dentists, orthodontists, clinic directors, healthcare administrators, and researchers seeking data-driven strategies to enhance clinical efficiency, scalability, and organizational success in dental care environments.
