EvoRoads Project Deliverable 6.2: "Data Management Plan (v.2)"
This deliverable presents the second version of D6.2 - Data Management Plan (DMP) of the EvoRoads project (Grant Agreement ID: 101147850, Horizon Europe). Prepared under WP6 – Project Management, the updated DMP describes how project data is collected, stored, accessed, exchanged, made interoperable, and reused, ensuring full alignment with the FAIR principles and Horizon Europe’s open science requirements. Since the first version, the DMP has been significantly expanded to reflect project progress and the adoption of the Argos platform as the core technical solution for data management. The metadata framework now consists of two complementary profiles:• EvoRoads DCAT-AP, supporting internal data catalogue management and daily data-sharing needs;• EvoRoads DMP profile, used for documenting datasets in published deliverables at key milestones (M8, M18, M36). This version details the metadata structures, tools, and software solutions employed, and explains how datasets—whether newly generated or reused—are documented using these profiles. The DMP also describes how the project ensures ethical and legal compliance across the entire data lifecycle. All datasets undergo assessment using the European Commission’s ethical decision tree tool, with oversight from the Ethics and Data Management Team. Sensitive or non-compliant datasets are either mitigated through measures such as anonymisation or excluded entirely. Additional updates include a new section on the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in accordance with the EU AI Act, and a revised list of datasets, incorporating new data sources while removing those no longer relevant. As a living document, this second version provides an updated overview of EvoRoads’ data assets at M18 and will be further refined in the final version at M36 to support transparency, data discovery, and reuse by both internal and external stakeholders.
