VANISHING HEART ON ECHOCARDIOGRAM-A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT Echocardiogram is an important diagnostic bedside procedure for evaluating emergent cardiac and noncardiac patients with unexplainable chest related conditions. Tracheal or endoscopic gastric procedures can rarely lead to organ perforation and pneumomediastinum. Here we present a patient with iatrogenic pneumomediastinum whose diagnosis was suspected during a bedside echocardiogram procedure.
