Process Dilation and the Relational Coherence Principle (RCP, M)
Description This work develops an epistemic reinterpretation of relativistic time dilation through the concept of Process Dilation. Temporal differences are not understood as changes in the flow of a fundamental time parameter but as variations in the intrinsic rates of physical processes. Clocks function as process-rate meters, and differences in proper time reflect variations in the number of completed process cycles. To ensure coherence between regions with locally varying process rates, the Relational Coherence Principle (RCP, M) is introduced as a minimal meta-structural requirement. This interpretation does not modify the mathematical structure of relativity or quantum theory but reframes their ontological reading and offers a conceptual bridge between dynamical relativistic time and the timeless formulations of quantum mechanics and quantum gravity.
