Physical Origin of Turbulence and Wingtip Vortices

English This independent 9-page paper presents the causal physical origin of both turbulence and wingtip vortices: the body moves faster than air molecules can return to fill the vacuum left behind. This “vacuum shepherding failure” forces the emergence of multiple transverse subflows (Multifluxo) and, at the wingtip, collapses into intense concentrated vortices — the wingtip vortex is revealed as a local aerodynamic CRT. Winglets, sharklets, riblets and all drag-reduction devices work because they act as artificial shepherding surfaces. No statistics, no cascade, no closure problem — only geometry, velocity and molecules that cannot come back in time. Abstract

Published 29 November 2025 as the ninth black-cover paper of the series that redefined turbulence in November 2025.
