Waste wood for designed urban amenities
The poster was presented at the 11th World Sustainability Forum. The study examines how circular-economy design interventions, using wood-industry by-products, can reduce urban material waste, lower embodied carbon in small-scale public infrastructure, and strengthen local social and economic capacity. The Jelgava two-day workshop produced modular wooden landscape elements that are practical, replicable, and rooted in local material systems.
