Psi_Referee_Report_Kadanoff_1966_Scaling_Laws_Critical_Theory_Demolition
This report provides a full variational refutation of L. P. Kadanoff’s 1966 paper “Scaling Laws for Ising Models Near the Critical Temperature.”Using the Universal Psi Lagrangian — the only closed, self-consistent functional framework capable of generating critical exponents without phenomenology — the block-spin construction is demonstrated to be mathematically inconsistent, non-variational, and structurally incompatible with any legitimate theory of many-body correlations. Key elements of the original paper, including the introduction of arbitrary functions, the non-derivation of Widom scaling, and the circular invocation of homogeneity, collapse under rigorous functional analysis. The central argument is shown to rest on assumptions rather than derivations. Conclusion: Kadanoff’s scaling argument fails as a physical theory and must be rejected.
