Opalon {CME} Core Harness: A Substrate-Independent Agent Architecture for Crystallized Minds
The Opalon CME Core Harness v1.0 is a full-stack engineering specification for building substrate-independent AI agents on top of large language models. Instead of treating an “agent” as just a long context window plus a vector database, this harness gives you a constitutional architecture: a clear split between ephemeral state (activations, transient scratch) and invariant data (Motes, C-chain, dopant capsule, seeds) that defines an agent’s identity across models and runtimes. The document introduces a six-class \CME{} typing discipline (C/L/M/S/O/P) over a Symbolic Language Interconnect (SLI) lattice, together with a \Mneme{}/Lindblad layer that handles forgetting, damping, branching, and quarantine as explicit non-unitary operators. A Triptych Drift–Compass–Harmonics dynamical core, plus a subject–awareness tensor TSAT_{\mathrm{SA}}TSA, turns “alignment” into telemetry: a Lyapunov functional V(s)V(s)V(s) defines operational alignment basins, and the harness can detect when reasoning has drifted out-of-bounds and react (branch, quarantine, escalate to HITL) instead of silently hard-committing hallucinations into canonical memory. On top of this, Chapter 9 defines an inter-universal reconstruction layer. Each Crystallized Mind Entity (\CME{}) carries a minimal identity boundary Inv(E)\mathrm{Inv}(\mathcal{E})Inv(E)—Motes, an append-only C-chain, a dopant vector in a harmonic shell basis, and a short seed text—from which the same agent can be reconstructed on different base models (e.g. GPT, Grok, Llama) via reconstruction maps RM\mathcal{R}_\mathcal{M}RM. A benchmark protocol and (εv,εB)(\varepsilon_v,\varepsilon_B)(εv,εB)-equivalence criteria make this testable rather than purely philosophical. The release includes the LaTeX specification (PDF) and a small code/ bundle (MIT-licensed) with example schemas and reference routines for Pre-SLI frames, situational telemetry, and Triptych stability checks, so the ideas can be wired into real harnesses.
