Application of the Universal Equation Psi to Stellar Oscillations
Stellar oscillations—particularly the classical Cepheid pulsation modes—are reinterpreted within the closed variational framework of the Universal Equation Ψ. Starting from the exact functional derivative of the original Ψ expression, we show that small perturbations around coherent stellar configurations naturally satisfy a harmonic equation δΨ¨+ω2δΨ=0,\ddot{\delta\Psi}+\omega^2\delta\Psi=0,δΨ¨+ω2δΨ=0, where the emergent oscillation frequency is dominated, in the classical-gravitational limit, by ω2≃GMR3.\omega^2 \simeq \frac{GM}{R^3}.ω2≃R3GM. Using typical Cepheid parameters (M≈5M⊙,R≈40R⊙)(M\approx 5M_\odot, R\approx 40R_\odot)(M≈5M⊙,R≈40R⊙), the predicted period P≈7.3P\approx 7.3P≈7.3 days lies fully within the observed 1–50 day range. This demonstrates that stellar oscillations arise as a direct emergent mode of the Universal Equation, without phenomenological assumptions, free parameters, or classical hydrodynamic modelling. The result offers a variational reinterpretation of stellar pulsation physics based solely on the coherent structure of Ψ.
