THE ROLE OF DETERMINATION IN ALGORITHMIC THINKING WITHIN AYURVEDA
Determination, in algorithmic theory, refers to a core attribute of any effective process: the intermediate results at every step must be uniquely derived from the preceding steps and initial inputs. This concept reflects precision, predictability, and causality. Interestingly, such structured thinking also exists in classical systems like Ayurveda, where therapeutic processes are similarly determined by the logical sequence of inputs (Dosha, Dushya, Prakriti, etc.) and prior actions (Poorvakarma, Pradhankarma, etc.)[1]. This article explores the philosophical and practical convergence of this computational principle with Ayurvedic clinical reasoning.
