ψ-Potential and the Laplace Void: A Retentive Field Architecture Beyond Classical Equilibrium
This article introduces a formal retentive field architecture inside a classical Laplace vacuum. In regions where the potential satisfies the source-free Laplace equation \nabla^2 \Phi = 0, classical physics predicts complete structural emptiness. The ψ-framework challenges this determinism by showing that internal retentive nodes \Xi can sustain a non-dissipative equilibrium of difference \Delta\psi even in a perfectly harmonic vacuum. A full Lagrangian formulation is developed, demonstrating that ψ-retention remains stable under perturbations and generates an internal ψ-Potential that modifies the classical harmonic solution. The resulting “Laplace void with memory” suggests a pre-geometric layer of structure capable of persisting without sources, matter, observers, or external time. The work connects classical potential theory, mathematical physics, and ψ-cosmology, proposing ψ-Potential as a candidate mechanism for residual vacuum structure and dark-energy-like behaviour. This study is part of the ψ-Architecture research program and establishes ψ-retention as a deeper dynamical layer beyond classical equilibrium.
