Why Modern Peer Review Fails to Evaluate Mathematics Evidence from Five APS Rejections of Closed Variational Work
This article analyzes the structural inability of modern peer review to evaluate closed variationalmathematics. Five independent manuscripts submitted to APS journals—all fully mathematical, written in REVTeX, and strictly within the scope of theoretical high-energy physics—were rejectedwithout technical assessment. By referencing only material already in possession of APS (previoussubmissions), we demonstrate a repeated pattern: no mathematical referee was assigned, no derivationwas examined, and no flaw was identified. The analysis exposes an editorial failure affectingvariational theories, gauge structure, emergent dynamics, and the mathematical foundation of fieldtheory.
