MG-CRT: A Parallel Micro-Gun Display System with Temporal Color Synthesis
This paper introduces MG-CRT (Multi-Gun Segmented Cathode Ray Tube), a revolutionary display architecture that eliminates traditional single-electron beam scanning through massively parallel micro-emitter arrays. The system employs a grid of independent segments, each with its own beam gun, temporal color synthesis mathematics, and micro-magnetic deflection. Unlike conventional displays relying on RGB filters or phosphors, MG-CRT uses harmonic modulation patterns to mathematically generate colors through precise energy-time relationships. This enables theoretical refresh rates exceeding 10,000 Hz, perfect black levels, expanded color gamut, and superior energy efficiency through on-demand segment activation. The architecture represents a fundamental reinvention of CRT technology using modern computational approaches and MEMS fabrication techniques
