Why the Moon Always Looks at Us: The Geometry of Universal Gravitational Synchronization - An Application of the EGRMR Model

This article presents a geometric formulation of gravitational synchronization based on the Euclidean Geometry with Rescaled Metric Regions (EGRMR) model. In this framework, synchronous rotation arises as a stationary configuration minimizing temporal variations of the metric scaling factor. The approach reproduces the correct order of magnitude for classical synchronization timescales without relying on empirical tidal parameters, and offers a unified interpretation applicable to planetary systems, compact binaries, and multi-body resonances. The work introduces operational thresholds, observational signatures such as metric librations and external modulations, and a set of falsifiable predictions relevant for Lunar Laser Ranging, pulsar timing, and gravitational-wave analyses. By emphasizing geometric rather than material aspects of spin–orbit evolution, the model suggests a universal mechanism underlying the widespread occurrence of synchronization in the universe.
