TEACHING THE METHOD OF MATHEMATICAL INDUCTION IN THE SECONDARY SCHOOL MATHEMATICS CURRICULUM THROUGH MODERN INSTRUCTIONAL APPROACHES

In modern education, the goal of teaching mathematics is not limited to learning calculations and formulas. Mathematical knowledge aims to develop students’ logical, critical, and creative thinking skills. In this regard, the method of mathematical induction serves as an important tool that teaches the philosophy of mathematical thinking and the culture of proof. The purpose of this study is to explore the essence of the mathematical induction method, its role in proof systems, and its application possibilities in secondary school education. The research analyzes the theoretical foundations, application areas, and teaching methodology of mathematical induction at the school level. Interactive explanatory models of the induction method were also developed using digital platforms such as GeoGebra and Gamma. The results of the experiment showed that a computer-based teaching approach significantly increases students’ comprehension level and interest. The findings indicate that teaching the mathematical induction method through modern technological tools contributes to the formation of students’ logical consistency, algorithmic thinking, and proof skills.
