"Art Olympiad: An Integrative Model for Developing Creative and Intellectual Performance in Arts and Humanities through the Lens of Psychological Aesthetics and Inclusive Pedagogy
Contemporary challenges in arts education necessitate innovative pedagogical models that move beyond mere instruction to effectively integrate creative practice with intellectual depth and psychological impact. Traditionally, international art competitions have focused primarily on performance assessment, often overlooking the interactive framework essential for building Holistic Competence. In this context, a significant gap exists in the global literature of art education concerning the effective application of structured models that combine Psycho-Aesthetic Evaluation with Inclusive Arts Education to empower underrepresented groups. The "Global Art Olympiad" project emerges in response to this gap. It is presented not just as a competitive event, but as a Case Study for Curricular Design that globally integrates art and the humanities. This research aims to deconstruct and analyze this academic model, highlighting how the principles of Psycho-Aesthetics are applied in designing therapeutically- and expressively-driven art workshops, particularly those tailored to enable Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students to articulate abstract concepts through non-verbal rhythmic arts. This methodological integration represents a shift from focusing on "what is produced" to focusing on "how the young artist and thinker is built," positioning it as a potentially universal model for replication in higher and art education contexts worldwide.
