Transcending Strategic Inertia Through Architectural Leadership in the Age of AI
This working paper argues that modern enterprises suffer from strategic inertia caused by promoting Technicians—masters of “How”—to roles that require Architects—masters of “Why.” It introduces Architectural Leadership as a governance paradigm that replaces incremental optimization with system-level intentionality. The framework enables organizations to shift from operational turbulence to strategic clarity, establishing the cognitive foundations required for AI-enabled transformation.
