Stage 3. Perform data review and synthesis.
Stage 3 of the Systematic Literature Review focuses on the review and synthesis of the selected evidence. In this phase, the studies that passed the screening and eligibility stages are examined in depth to extract relevant data aligned with the research questions. Predefined criteria are applied to assess the quality, credibility, relevance, and rigor of each study. The extracted information is then synthesized using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods to identify patterns, trends, gaps, and relationships within the body of knowledge. The purpose of this stage is to build a coherent and validated evidence base that supports the final findings of the review.
