Tunisian DOI Consortium: Connecting Tunisian Research for Enhanced Accessibility and Visibility
This presentation introduces the development and progress of the Tunisian DOI Consortium, a national initiative led by CNUDST to advance open science, improve research visibility, and promote the adoption of persistent identifiers across Tunisia’s academic and research institutions. It outlines the consortium’s objectives, technical integrations with platforms such as OJS and PIST, workflows for DOI assignment and metadata transformation, and efforts to strengthen interoperability between DOIs, ORCID iDs, and ROR IDs. The presentation also highlights institutional onboarding, the implementation of FAIR-aligned metadata practices, and the consortium’s broader impact in connecting research outputs, enhancing discoverability, and supporting a sustainable open research infrastructure in Tunisia.
